No
One Knew The Girl by Sonita Moss
Her face, her smile, the laughing lips
Wild hair, great teeth, nonexistent hips
They knew her face, but no one knew the girl
Her not so neat scrawl, her all A work
Fast typing fingers
She had the world
But no one knew the girl
She smiled her smile
And laughed her laugh
Though she knew she was a fraud
Still, no one knew the girl
Every day a new struggle
The pasted smile became harder to hold
Shes so happy, they all thought
But no one knew the girl
She had spurts of elation
Like an endorphin was released double time
To make up for the lack
But still she cried inside
Cause no one knew the girl
She was a hypocrite of the worse kind
Sneered at teeny boppers
And scolded those of the false smiles and lies
But she was one of them
She was one of her own
No one knew the girl
Deep inside
The secrets would hide
And everything surrounding her
Was null and void
She was devoid of all emotion
Even when she cried
Tears slipping from her eyes
No one knew the girl
